As a foreign scientist or staff, you may want to spend some time in our department.

Each year, the department welcomes visiting scientists to promote international collaborations. Interested scientists are invited to contact the head of the research laboratory (see the Research section of this website) where they would like to stay and the head of the department (see Direction). Applications must be filled between Mid-November and Mid-January for long stays (4 to 12 months) or short stays (1 to 3 months). Specific invitations (Chaire ENS Lyon-UJF) can be proposed to exceptional scientists for stays of 3 to 6 months. Applications usually consist in a curriculum of the candidate, a program for the proposed collaboration, a letter from the welcoming research laboratory. Applications are then submitted to the Department and to the Research Council of the University for selection.

Staff from our partner universities in Europe can apply in our department through the Erasmus Mobility for Staff program. Interested applicants need to find out information on how to get involved in the international office of their host institution.
