Are you currently an undergraduate student at university? Do you want to feel more confident and better equipped to deal with situations of aggression? Take part in a new research program on the prevention of sexual violence at university, starting in November 2025!
A space to learn how to defend yourself
The BERA (Assess, Recognize, Act) program is a Canadian program for resistance to sexual violence. This prevention research program aims to give you tools to protect yourself, build self-confidence, and reduce the risk of sexual violence.
It is accompanied by a scientific study conducted by the University of Grenoble-Alpes. To ensure the validity of this research, participants are randomly divided into two groups: Group 1 with in-person workshops, and Group 2 with online exchanges.

When and where?
AtUniversité Grenoble Alpes the Saint-Martin-d'Hères campus, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.,
At Lyon 2 University on the Portes des Alpes campus in Bron, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

When and where?
On Zoom, from November 2025 to the end of April 2026. You will be able to choose your time slot from several options.
Participation in each group is equally essential: it is by comparing the two that we will be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Program and offer it to as many people as possible in the years to come!

A research program
The BERA (bien Évaluer, Reconnaitre, Agir) program is a Canadian program for resistance to sexual violence. This program is part of the thesis of Evane Rabaud (doctoral student at LIP/PC2S) supervised by Laurent Bègue-Shankland (LIP/PC2S), which aims to adapt and evaluate this program in France. This project is funded by MILDECA (Interministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviors) and is being implemented by the LIP/PC2S laboratory. It is taking place at theUniversité Grenoble Alpes the University of Lyon 2.
