The Chemistry and Biology Department offers a comprehensive range of courses from bachelor's (L) to master's (M) degrees in the fields of chemistry, process engineering, and biology.

These initial and continuing education programs draw on the expertise of UFR staff as well as researchers from the Grenoble cluster. Students also have access to experimental platforms in biology and chemistry that are unique in France.

The Chemistry and Biology Department is linked to Grenoble research centers working in a wide variety of fields such as: cancer (IAB, etc.), neuroscience (GIN), physiology (LBFA), structural biology (IBS, etc.), virology (EMBL), ecology (LECA), plant biology (etc.), nanobiology, molecular chemistry (etc.), analytical chemistry (etc.), materials, processes (etc.).
